A special taskforce set up by the Afigya kwabre south district Assembly has deployed pepper spray into a teenager Nicholas Yeboah eyes at Ntiri buoho in attempt to close his father shop for refusing to honour their tax obligations.
The taskforce embarked on unannounced visits to the shops at Ntiri buoho to collect outstanding debts from recalcitrant tax evaders.
The exercise forms part of the Assembly comprehensive tax campaign to encourage more Ghanaians to honour their tax obligations to enable the government to meet its domestic revenue targets ,increase social intervention policies and accelerate development across the district.
Speaking with AKOMA news,The father of the victim Mr.Kwabena kusi say,the taskforce guards came to meet his absence at the shop and tried to close it of which his son resist them.
They deliberately deploy the pepper spray into his eyes and now he is battling for his life.
