Students at Nuasu-Apinkra D/A JHS in the Bosomtwe Constituency of the Ashanti region are calling on the member of parliament who double as minister of Education Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum and Nana Addo led government to come to their aid as the only block serving the JHS 3 students have deteriorated.
A visit to the school by our reporter SARKODIE PEPRAH, revealed that students are study in scorching sun even though they are in a classroom.
The building according our reporter has cracks on the walls and part of the roofing sheets and the ceiling have been removed.
Some final year students who spoke to SARKODIE PEPRAH said, they have to close classes when ever it starts raining.
“We are unable to learn when it starts raining and in the afternoon too ,we are being hurt by the direct sun because part of the roofing and ceiling have been removed, they said.
They cited that, the ceiling sometimes falls on them during classes time when there is heavy wind blowing.
Students says, the condition at the Nuasu- Apinkra DA JHS does not promote teaching and learning and that they are afraid for themselves as they are going to write the same final exams with their colleagues in the cities.
