Following the arrest of three KNUST students in the midst of writing examination after a clash between Kantanka and Konti hall, an Educationist, who double as publisher for success link publication has condemned the act by Ghana police service for incarcerating the students.
According to him, the school authorities should have put proper measures in place in terms of punishing the students than to arrest them whiles writing exams.
“Literally, such thing can only happened if the suspects keep on denying or being reluctant to police official invitation to assist them in their investigations”.
Speaking on fresh fm ‘Anopa Nantie Dwumadie’, the Educationist indicated that, the arrest of the three students will have negative effects on their academic life thus the students would not be able to write the paper again per the laws governing the school.
He also emphasized that the students will have to resit and write the paper again, failure to rewrite the paper will restrict you from graduating from school.
The university security system can allow the students to write the paper at police custody whiles investigating into the matter depending on the case at hand, he noted.
His comment comes after Master Emmanuel Appiah was arrested when writing his end of semester examination on Monday 19th of September 2022 together and in separate incident the arrest of Amaniampong Kwarteng Kwabena together with Eugene Normesi at the exams center on Tuesday 20th September 2022 as they also wrote their end of semester exams.
