Fire outbreaks over the recent time has become a major challenge in the Central Region as finding ways and means to curb the situation.
With this regards, the Central Regional Fire Service Commander, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer ADFO1 John Amaaly Amaatey has appealed to Individuals, NGOs as well as the government to support them, with more fire fighting appliance, rescuing logistics to boost their responses to emergency in the Command.
This according to the Commander , in recent times, the Winneba Accra road has been in the news since there is frequently accidents, as many life’s has been lost besides properties has been equally damaged.
As fire fighters, they are always on top of their game to curb fire outbreaks in the country but access to adequate appliances has been a major challenge facing their occupation.
ADFO1 Amaaly Amartey made this pronouncements to Obaatanpa News Mireku Nyampong when through Nana Acheampong Gartey ShallotteVill USA donated an ultra modern fire tender car to Winneba Fire Service Station, and stated that Oliver twice always ask for more.
Moreover, the ShallotteVill USA Foundation agent in Ghana, Nana Acheampong Gartey also disclosed that as part of their co-social responsibilities, they are helping fight fire and prevent properties from damage.
The Fire Service in Ghana especially Effutu Winneba Fire Station is performing massively well but appliances to help exhibit their their duty has been the problem of the day.
Nana Acheampong Gartey has therefore called on other individuals and organizations to also appreciate the effort of the Fire Service and support them with equipment since the government can not do it all.
Lastly, Nenyi Gartey, the Omanhene of Effutu-Winneba has called on the government it is time to establish rescue allowance for Ghana Fire Service since their work is always taking the risk to recur others.
