C/R:HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, HYPERTENSION,AT RISE AMONG THE YOUTHS—HEALTH EXPECT

The Senior Nursing Manager for the Ajumako Baa Salvation Army Hospital Miss. Esther Essandoh has revealed that, high blood pressure, hepatitis B is at rise among the Youths in Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region.

During a Free Health Screening of Ajumako Baa Salvation Army Hospital as part of the Hospital’s 100 years anniversary, the Senior Nursing Manager for the Hospital Esther Essandoh explained that, the Youths between the ages of twenty(20) to thirty(30) are full of high blood pressure and hepatitis B disease.

She explained that the situation is alarming within this Youthful stage.

According to her, though they recorded numerous diseases during the health screening such as malaria ,eye problems among others, but it is alarming that high blood pressure and hepatitis B is at the rise among the Youths in the District.

She then advised them to reduced the intake of salt, don’t eat meat, reduced oil food, stay away from smoking and do exercise regularly to reduce such disease.

In addition ,the Administrator of the Hospital Mr. Godwin Kumeto also appealed to the government to support the Hospital with enough Hospital equipment that will facilitate their work and make it more easier  and faster.

He also appealed to the government to build children’s ward for them.

The hospital serves over fifty-five Community but they are having inadequate Hospital beds so the government, None Governmental Organizations, Philanthropic and Private Individuals to come and assist them with enough Hospital beds.
