A policy analyst on governance, Selorm Brantie has said that the national communication Authority and the Ministry of Communication couldn’t block the unregistered sim card on the deadline date because the right thing is not done yet.
According to him, over 15million sim cards will be affected if the exercise was effected on the deadline date which is amounted to 30% of sim card in the system.
Speaking in an interview, the policy analyst disclosed that they are not against the registration exercise by the communication ministry but they want right thing to be done. He is of the view that they should at least have sympathy for Ghanaians as it is no fault of theirs that their sim cards are still not registered.
The National Identification Authority should we questioned why most of Ghanaians have not gotten their Ghana cards, “so how can you punish them with the crime they have not committed, he questioned.
