Former Mp Join’s Atopa Dance Festival at Fetteh, Call On Tourism Ministry To Support The Festival.

Former Member of Parliament for Gomoa East District, Hon Kojo Asemanyi joins his constituents at Gomoa Fetteh to dance the Atopa festival and call on Tourism ministries to have a critical look at the festival and suport since it has become popular and national wide festival .

The “Akosolontaba” (Atopa dance) is a final dance or activities within the celebrations of Ahobaakese Festival celebrated by the good people of Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District in Central region.

The later part of their Festival has over the years gone viral due to their dance. Travelers from all over the country comes to witness the dance.

Hon Kojo Asemanyi has debunk the allegations that the dance promotes promiscuity.

Mireku Nyampong spoke with some Participants who were enjoying themselves with the dance . Some travel far from Bono, Volta, Cape Coast to enjoy the festival.

Also, Queen mother of Gomoa Fetteh Nana Abena Ewusiwaa II explain the meaning of the Akosolontoba dance to Mireku Nyampong.
