GA SOUTH ASSEMBLY PLEDGE ACCOMODATION FOR FLOOD VICTIMS.

UPDATE ON BABA DOGO FLOOD:

The Ga South Municipal Assembly says it has put in place adhoc measures to tackle the flooding situations in the Municipality as it waits on the Central government to construct storm drains in the area.

Meanwhile The Assembly says, family of the two children who died as a result of flooding at Baba Dogo, a suburb of New Botianor will be giving accommodation.

The MCE for Ga South , Joseph Nyarni embarked on a tour to affected areas of the Municipality including the residence of the two children who got drowned.

The MCE who described the occurrence as unfortunate told Mireku nyampong that temporary measures are being put in place to mitigate flooding as we move towards the rainy season.

He said the Assembly is counting on the Central government to assist in the provision of storm drains in the area as pledged by the Minister for works and housing during a recent tour
to the area.


Joseph Nyarni revealed the  a relief package includes an apartment for the family that lost the two children to the media.
