Mr. Clement Amoh Omari the newly Ashanti Regional forestry manager has stated that green Ghana project is a laudable idea that need to promoted and as the newly regional manager he will use the opportunity to plant more trees to beef up our forest reserves in the region.
He said tree planting should be the major responsibility of everything Ghanaian irrespective of where one find him or herself.
Addressing the Media at the send off ceremony of his predecessor Mr. Gyedu as the outgoing manager to Bono Region, Mr. Clement Amoh Omari stated that in order to make his dream coming through as the Ashanti regional manager of forestry Commission, he said the media is very keen which he revealed his commitment to connive with the media to work hard to make his goal achievable.
Meanwhile the outgoing Ashanti Regional forestry manager Mr. Augustine Kofi Gyedu commended the people of Ashanti Region for supporting him through his days as the regional manager.
He said the work is very difficult as we all know but with consultations to the stake holders including the media the new regional manager can make it,
adding that education is very important in every aspect of human life which he appealed to his predecessor to bring on board all the stakeholders in forestry department and educate them about what he wanted to bring on board for the people to understand the concept in order to win their support.
