KUDUS

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has disclosed he will consider playing Mohammed Kudus as a false 9 option when the need arises.

Kudus has been deployed as a false 9 by Ajax in recent games where his been phenomenon and many feel he could replicate the same form at the national team.

Speaking ahead of the game, Otto Addo said he has options and Kudus is one of them in that position.

“We have all kinds of ideas for so many players besides Kudus. [False nine] could be an option but there are so many other options for him,” coach Addo said in pre-match press conference.

“Surely we won’t talk about tactical things before our matches or before the World Cup but anything can happen.”

He added, “For me, it’s not a big surprise because we know him very well. I know him very well and I am just happy that he is now a part of the starting 11 at Ajax.”
