MANAGEMENT OF KSTU SIGNS MOU WITH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GARAGES TO ENHANCE THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY.

The management of Kumasi Technical University has signed memorandum of understanding with National Association of Garages in the country .
The Pro vice chancellor of Kumasi Technical University Prof Gabriel Dwomoh said the Automobile industry is predominantly with mechanics and other artisans who needs to be supported hence the MOU will help the industry members in regards to acquiring new skills and knowledge to catch up with the fast moving pace of technology.

He further indicated that the collaboration will not only reduce the importation of 100, 000 estimated vehicles and spare parts which is putting pressure on the Ghana cedi, the MOU will help sourcing for funds for association members.
Prof Dwomoh stated that the joint research of Kumasi Technical University and the association members will help advise the government on vehicle maintenance.

 

Lead Consultant for National Association of Garages Engineer Solomon Andoh said the MOU between the both parties has come in right time since the Association is now moving to Digital so such technology transfer will help facilitate the operation of the association members.
Engineer Solomon Andoh called on all the Association members to rally behind the collaboration to make it success.
