The District Chief executive for Akyemansa districts in the Eastern region; Hon. Paul Asamoah Gyemah, together with the member of parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency and doubles as the Information minister; Hon. Lawyer Kojo Oppong Nkrumah have commissioned two different project in a day, that’s; a CHPS compound for the people of Akyem Kotokuom and a nurses quarters at Akyem Abenase.
Hon. Paul Asamoah Gyemah speaking to media expressed much gratitude to JOICEP, an NGO who in partnership helped build the health center for the people of Akyem Kotokuom and also assured the people of Akyemansa district that he and his MP are committed to ensuring that developmental projects across the district, both ongoing and incoming ones are completed and commissioned for their operations to benefit the people.
He added that health of the people in the district is so much dear to him and his MP therefore they are doing everything possible to ensure that possibly, each community gets a health center and health personnel accommodations are being provided for their comfort as well to enable them take proper care of the people.
The district health director for Akyemansa district; Dr. Koranteng Ampaw speaking at the commissioning ceremony expressed sincere gratitude to the DCE and his MP for their concerned about the people’s health in the district and as “Oliver Twist” always asks for more, pleaded that they should continue to do more for other smaller towns who lack such health amenities within the district.
The chief of Akyem Kotokuom; Obrempong Ahenkora Kwakye Marfo II speaking at the ceremony also expressed much gratitude to the JOICEP NGO and government especially, their DCE and MP and advised his people to make good use of the new health facility in order to attract more developmental projects into the community.
