The president of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu Addo has cut a sod for a 4 tier Suame interchange to ease the traffic and reduce the accident. He said Suame interchange will be constructed by a Ghanaian firm Rango construction.
President said, has charged the contractor to deliver efficient work for the country to benefits from value of money.
He charged the construction firm to put measures in place to reduced traffic when construction ongoing.
The president admitted that those there’s a hardship but with his tenure in office we shall overcome it. President at Suame.
The president said he’s happy to cut the sod for the construction of 4 tier Suame interchange as he promise he delivered. He said Suame interchange will be a first 4 tier interchange in the Ashanti region. President explained that Suame interchange will be the first of it’s kind. He government has tackled roads infrastructure and in the Ashanti region alone, 295km of roads since 2017 and said this.
The minister of roads and highways Hon Kwasi Amoako Atta has stated that Suame interchange will eliminate traffic situations in the Ashanti region. He said we should help the contractor to do proper work and to comply with all the inconveniences. He charged the contractor to respect the right of the people and ensure proper traffic management and safety nobody should take anybody for granted. He said the contractor should employ the local artisans to improve the economy in Ghana. He said those alleging that NPP government has done nothing should bowed their head in shame.
Hon Akwasi Amoako Atta added that with the introduction of Suame interchange most of the searchlights district will benefits from tiled roads and intersection will be upgraded.
