Customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG are unable to purchase credit for their prepaid meters. Several residents and businesses in the central region are heavily affected as a result of the situation.
The affected customers say they have being thronging to various vending points including the main ECG offices for several days but are unable to purchase credit for their prepaid meters.
The development has rendered them to sleep in darkness.
For those who ran businesses that rely on constant power supply such as cold stores they have began recording losses as their products have started going bad.
At the various offices, disappointed and frustrated customers are turned away as some offices have displayed ‘No Network’ inscriptions.
