The Second Vice President of Ghana National Association of Health Training Institutions, Mr. Samuel Afede has bemoaned how recently some Nurses in the country have been using the social media by posting faces of their patients on the various platforms as he says it’s a breach of the code and conduct nursing in the country and nurses must be mindful of that.
According Mr. Samuel, he finds heartbreaking and worrying when he goes to social media and realize nurses are there twerking and even to an extend of posting nudities on the social media.
He added that this behavior if they do not put a stop to such act, it will in the long run come and harm them. He said the nursing profession has a code and conduct and it emphatically speaks against all these act and for that his brotherly advise for all nurses out there and student nurses to desist from that.
He made this known to Obaatanpa News Nana Yaw during a handing over service of Nyaniba SRC old executives and swearing-in of new executives as part of Nyaniba Health College’s 2022 SRC Week celebration.

On her part, the newly sworn-in SRC President, Theodora Nutakor said as she has assumed office as the president of the Student Representative Council her outfit will make sure discipline among students will be a practice of all.
On what health workers put on social media, the SRC President added up that being a nurse is not a matter of wearing the green and white dress but your behavior also matters. She furthered that nurses must be tolerant in order to be able to attend to all kinds of patient.
