The head of National Office at the West African Examination Council(WAEC) has called on the general public to refrain from putting out false information with regards to WAEC.
This According to her, it’s erodes the credibility of their Examination and affects the acceptance of the results internationally.
Ghanaians over the years has putting the credibility of the institution in to public ridicule discrediting them in terms of how they conduct their exams. According to the Public, there are some WAEC officials who play a major role in leaking question papers. They say WAEC’s failure to fish out officials who engage in malpractices make the institution incredible.
Speaking at a WAEC organised stakeholders forum under the theme: Seventy Years of Reliable Educational Assessment-the Journey, Challenges and the way forward.
In line with the 70 years anniversary the Accra Office has put together a number of activities to give the general public an insight into their operations in order to create mutual understanding.
Mrs. Wendy Addy-Lamptey urged the media to authenticate information that comes across regarding Examination.
