The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited Dr. Agnes Adu has urged Ghanaians to patronize more of locally manufactured products in order to boost the local economy.
According to Dr. Agnes, when we eat what we grow rather than large importation, revenues generated remain in the country to cushion the economy and also prevent the foreign currency from compelling the cedi to be depreciated.

Speaking to the media during the launch of “Grand Sales Bazzar 2022” organized by Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited and other stakeholders which is scheduled to take place from 31st of August 2022 to 4th of September 2022, Dr. Agnes Adu stressed out that the consumption of locally produced products also help in reducing the unemployment rate in the country. She further said it attracts for investors to invest their businesses in the country.


The 2022 Grand Sales Bazzar is aimed at promoting Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) and traders will have a five day package to promote, exhibit and sell their products. She added this is an opportunity to advertise, promote and exhibit solely made-in Ghana products.

Speaking on behalf of the Food and Drugs board Authority(FDA), Director of Inspectorate at the authority, Madam Maria Lovelace Johnson assured that their outfit will ensure all products to be sold at Grand sales are free from danger and is of public safety.
She added FDA continues to ensure the food safety of Ghanaians and the general public are protected and it will be their top priority.
